How to install Project 2019 Professional via Office Deployment Tool

Download Office Deployment Tool from the following link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49117 

Open the exe file, should look similar to: 

 You will be prompt to allow this application to make changes on your computer, select Yes.

Pop-up message will be opened on your screen with MS License Terms. Check the box at the bottom and press Continue:

Then another pop-up will ask you to select a destination folder for the download files:

When you press OK you will see on the screen this message, press OK:

Locate the folder you’ve chosen on the previous step. Open and you will see a few files: 

Delete configuration files Office 365 and Office2021, until you see only one Office 2019: 

Optional - Rename the configuration file as the name of the product, without spaces and special characters:

Open the configuration file with Notepad and delete text about all additional products, except the one you want to install.

Save the file and close it.

Now copy address as text of the directory, where the deployment files are, by right clicking on the name of the folder in the windows explorer bar:

Open cmd as administrator by right click on the app from Windows Start / Search.

Change the directory from system 32 to the folder where the configuration file is, by type command cd and folder address. Press enter:

Type setup /download [the name of the configuration file].xml and press Enter: 

Download will start automatically. You will notice the enter cursor will be placed on a new row, without any message in cmd. It could take up to 30 minutes, depending on your internet connection. When it is complete a new folder will appear in the directory - Office: 

The cmd window must remain open during the process. You will notice it is complete when a second command row with the folder directory is visible.

Now you need to run a command to start the installation of Project. 

Type: setup /configure [the name of the configuration file].xml and press Enter:

The installation will start automatically. Office installation window will open:

Follow the steps of the installation wizard to finish.
