As we’ve mentioned in our Activation of older Autodesk products article, since July 1st, 2022, you are not able to activate newly installed Autodesk 2011-2014 products online (in other words, by putting the serial number and the product key into the activation window). However, you can still activate any Autodesk product by performing offline activation.
Follow the instructions below, and activate your software in no time!
Step-by-step guide
1. Generate a request code with the product activation wizard
a) Turn off the Internet connection of your device and run the Autodesk software you want to activate.
b) Click the “Activate” button on the Autodesk licensing screen.
c) Enter your serial number and product key, and click “Next”.
d) Select "Request an activation code using an offline method" option and click “Next”.
e) Your Request code should be visible under the Product Key as a group of 8x 4 characters.
f) Copy the request code but don’t close the wizard. Proceed to the next part of the guide.
2. Get an activation code and enter it in the Autodesk program
a) Go to the Autodesk Software Activation Code | Individual Installation page, and use the “Get activation code” form. If you are not signed in to your Autodesk account, you will need to do it to be able to perform the activation.
b) You will be prompted for your serial number, email address associated with it, and the request code you got from the Autodesk program’s licensing screen.
c) Once your activation code is generated, go back to the licensing screen of the Autodesk program, enter the activation code into boxes 1-16, and click “Next”.
